Bleich was traded from the Red Sox to the Twins in exchange for cash considerations, and he'll report to Triple-A Rochester.
Prior to being dealt to Minnesota, the southpaw struggled to a 5.59 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 17:8 K:BB in 19.1 innings with Triple-A Pawtucket. Bleich signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on Thursday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Bleich will join the Red Sox after being cut loose by the Phillies prior to the start of the season. The 31-year-old southpaw made his major-league debut with the Athletics last season, allowing two runs on two hits while recording just one out in two appearances. He'll serve as organizational bullpen depth.

Bleich agreed to a minor-league deal with Philadelphia on Friday, which includes an invite to spring training.
Bleich spent a majority of last season at the Triple-A level within Oakland's system, posting a 2.63 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 51.1 innings of relief. Bleich was sent to the minors in late July when the Athletics traded for Jeurys Familia. Another trade, this time for Mike Fiers, will send Bleich off the 40-man roster entirely. The 31-year-old reached the majors for the first time this season, allowing a pair of runs and getting just one out. His age and lack of experience make it seem unlikely that he'll get claimed off waivers.

The left-handed reliever was released by the Diamondbacks last month. Bleich spent 2016 with Double-A Reading in the Phillies organization, where he posted a 4.14 ERA over 41.1 innings. He'll provide organizational pitching depth at Triple-A Oklahoma City, but will need to improve upon his 24:14 K:BB if he wants to earn his first shot at the big leagues.
