The Dodgers released Lee on Saturday.
The 31-year-old righty had spent the entire season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he posted a 3.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 41:9 K:BB in 25.1 innings. With a promotion to the big club not imminent, Lee likely chose to opt out of his minor-league contract in pursuit of an opportunity with another organization.

Dodgers' C.C. Lee: Signs minor-league deal with Dodgers
Lee signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers which includes an invitation to spring training, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
After pitching in Japan in 2016, Lee returned stateside and spent 2017 with the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate, posting a lackluster 5.54 ERA and 1.42 WHIP across 37.1 innings. Expect the right-hander to serve as organizational bullpen depth in 2018.

Lee was invited to Rockies camp for spring training.
Lee inked a minor league deal with the Rockies last month, and it was just announced that he received an invite to spring training. He spent 2016 pitching in Japan, but logged 34 innings with the Indians from 2013-2015. The 30-year-old should serve as organizational bullpen depth in 2017.

Lee had his contract sold to the Seibu Lions of the Nippon Professional Baseball League on Friday.
Lee had appeared sparingly in the big league bullpen, but spent most of the 2015 season with Triple-A. He'll spend the 2016 season in Japan in hopes of taking on a more significant role.
