Eric Jokisch: Could return stateside
Jokisch is considering a return to MLB this offseason, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
The 31-year-old lefty's only big-league experience to date came back in 2014, when he made four appearances for the Cubs. After spending the next four seasons stuck in the upper minors, he signed with the Kiwoom Heroes (then called the Nexen Heroes) of the KBO in South Korea prior to the 2019 season. He's had plenty of success in his two seasons overseas, posting a 2.67 ERA and 1.10 WHIP, including a league-leading 2.14 ERA this past season. He's not much of a strikeout arm, though his 18.0 percent strikeout rate was at least slightly above the average mark in the KBO. Whether or not MLB teams believe the veteran southpaw can get hitters out at the highest level without strikeout stuff remains to be seen.

Eric Jokisch: Heads overseas
Jokisch agreed Tuesday to a one-year, $500,000 contract with the Nexen Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization, Dave Kane of The Springfield State Journal-Register reports.
Since getting a brief cup of coffee with the Cubs in 2014, Jokisch had pitched exclusively in the high minors over the past four seasons and most recently spent the 2018 campaign as a member of the Athletics organization. The lefty likely would have been forced to settle for a minor-league deal had he stuck around in North America, so he'll head to South Korea on a more lucrative contract that also contains an undisclosed signing bonus and performance-based incentives.

Athletics' Eric Jokisch: Inks farm deal with A's
Jokisch signed a minor-league deal with the Athletics on Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Jokisch has been playing professional baseball since 2010 but has only logged 14.1 major-league innings during his eight-year career. He spent the 2017 season with Triple-A Reno of the Diamondbacks' organization, posting a pedestrian 4.21 ERA over 134.2 innings of work. Despite his lackluster resume, he'll get an opportunity to play his way onto an Athletics roster that lacks reliable left-handed pitching depth.

Diamondbacks' Eric Jokisch: Signs minor-league deal with Diamondbacks
Jokisch signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks in 2017.
He spent time in upper levels of the minors with the Cubs, Marlins and Rangers last season, and should offer organizational bullpen depth with the Diamondbacks this season. Jokisch was assigned to Double-A Jackson for the start of 2017.

Rangers' Eric Jokisch: Gets traded to Texas
Jokisch was traded to Texas in exchange for Pedro Ciriaco on Friday, John Blake of TexasRangers.com reports.
After passing through his waiver period unclaimed, Miami decided to deal Jokisch for minor league second baseman Pedro Ciriaco. Jokisch will head directly to Triple-A Round Rock. The 26-year-old left-hander has compiled a 3.92 ERA over 39 innings between Double-A Jacksonville, Triple-A Iowa, and Triple-A New Orleans this season.

Marlins' Eric Jokisch: Outrighted to Jacksonville
Jokisch was outrighted to Double-A Jacksonville on Friday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Jokisch was designated for assignment by the team Wednesday, after calling up infielder Don Kelly to provide some depth. The 26-year-old southpaw has spent most of his 2015 season with Triple-A New Orleans, where he posted a 2.64 ERA during 30.2 innings of work. Jokisch failed to tally good strikeout numbers and his 1.53 WHIP was more indicative of his performance than his ERA.

Marlins' Eric Jokisch: Designated for assignment
Jokisch was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Wednesday, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.
The Marlins added an extra corner infielder in Don Kelly on Wednesday to fill the void left by Justin Bour (ankle), who was placed on the DL in a corresponding move. In order to select the contract of Kelly, the team needed a 40-man roster spot, and that came at the expense of Jokisch. Jokisch was added as a waiver claim back in mid-April but never saw the field for the Marlins. He owns a 3.92 ERA over 39 frames between Double-A and Triple-A this season.

Jokisch was claimed off waivers by Miami on Thursday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Jokisch had a slim chance to compete for a major league roster spot out of camp, but he was assigned to Tripe-A, where he spent the bulk of the 2015 season, as well. The 26-year-old will head to the same level within the Marlins organization (Triple-A New Orleans), and the team designated right-hander Scott McGough on Thursday to make room on the 40-man roster.

Jokisch was optioned to Triple-A on Monday, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun Times reports.
As expected, Jokisch will not be a part of the Cubs' Opening Day roster, and he appears destined to spend another year at Triple-A Iowa, where he posted a 3.87 ERA and 1.475 WHIP across 81.1 innings in 2015. The 26-year-old has not appeared in a major league game since 2014, when he made a brief, four-game cameo.
