Manager Brandon Hyde said Wednesday that Rodgers (biceps) is scheduled to resume a throwing program soon, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Rodgers first relayed two weeks ago that he was experiencing soreness in his right biceps, prompting the Orioles to place him on a no-throw regimen. The 29-year-old had been expected to advance to a throwing progression last week, but he evidently didn't move past the injury as quickly as anticipated. While it's encouraging that he hasn't been shut down from activity completely, Rodgers may not have enough time to get his arm fully conditioned for the start of the minor-league season.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that Rodgers has yet to throw a bullpen session this spring due to arm soreness, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Hyde didn't suggest that Rodgers' injury was anything overly worrisome, so the Orioles are presumably just taking some precaution with the 29-year-old. Rodgers is attending big-league spring training as a non-roster invitee and is expected to open the season in the Triple-A Norfolk rotation.

Rodgers underwent Tommy John surgery in May of 2017, but he completed his rehabilitation assignment Friday and he'll serve as pitching depth for Houston with the potential for a late-season callup.
