  • Stephen Johnson: Cut by Cincinnati

Johnson was released by the Reds on Tuesday, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

If a team opts to pick him up, Johnson will likely serve as organizational depth.

It is his first appearance at the Triple-A level, however, and given it's still early in the season, there is still plenty of time to improve.
