Luis Pena: Let go by Angels
Pena was released by the Angels last week, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports.
Pena was a top-30 prospect in the Angels' system following a 2017 minor-league campaign in which he racked up 167 strikeouts in 151.1 innings. However, the right-hander struggled as a reliever at the Triple-A level last season, allowing 15 earned runs, nine walks and a .362 BAA in 14.2 innings.
