Video: Thunder fan kid, 'I hate Miami!'
I feel wrong even posting this.
See, I'm a dad of a 13-month-old, and when you're trying to guide them through life and protect them, you realize watching things like this just what you're getting them into. Which is heartbreak and misery and the fostering of a deep-seated, irrational hatred of people they have never met. Watching this is hard, thinking about my kid going through this, which of course he will.
It's in his blood.
It's also rough because, well, this is a video about suffering. Surface-level, unimportant, irrational, superficial suffering. But it's suffering nonetheless. I've screamed "Turn the camera off!" like four times at the mother, even though I keep watching. Kid's going to get so much grief at school.
But, you have to admit, it's pretty funny watching a kid scream "I HATE MIAMI!"
Now I imagine LeBron licking the kid's tears like Cartman in South Park on Scott Tenorman. "Oh, your tears are delicious!"
