Nets will host Knicks as scheduled in Barclays debut Thursday

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

Following the impact of the massive "superstorm" Sandy on Monday evening that left millions of people without power and could end up causing billions of dollars in damage, there was a question about whether or not the NBA would postpone the Brooklyn Nets' Barclays Center debut against the Knicks on Thursday night. But the NBA says the show must go on.

The questions have been largely about fans being able to get to the arena because of flooded subway tunnels, but there is hope the lines will be open again by Thursday. It's not the circumstances the Nets wanted for their debut, but they'll at least play the game.
