Report: Blazers want to bring in center Jermaine O'Neal
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com

The Trail Blazers are the latest team to express an interest in signing 36-year-old center Jermaine O'Neal, according to Marc Stein of ESPN. Portland originally drafted O'Neal in 1996, where he spent four seasons.

With Robin Lopez and Joel Freeland both dealing with injuries which will keep them out of action for awhile, O'Neal would add depth to a depleted Trail Blazers roster, which has Chris Kaman and Myers Leonard still on the roster to play center.

He is also being pursued by the Dallas Mavericks to replace Brandan Wright, according to Stein.

O'neal averaged 7.9 points per game last year.

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com

"For 18 long years sports has dominated my [family’s] life to a point that they have had to sacrifice things that was important to them," O’Neal said on his Twitter account. "So you can believe now whatever decision I make will be a pure family decision that my family will have a huge part on making with me."

The Mavericks are reportedly expressed interest in signing O’Neal to replace Brandan Wright, who was traded to the Celtics, reports ESPN.

Jermaine O'Neal vows to play Game 7
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Warriors center Jermaine O'Neal told reporters that he'll attempt to play at least 15 minutes in Game 7 against the Clippers in Los Angeles.

O'Neal suffered a bone bruise of his right knee cap early in the second quarter of Game 6, after a collision with Glen Davis under the basket. He is averaging 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in the opening round of the playoffs.

"Anything short of an MCL, PCL or ACL tear, I'm going to play on it," O'Neal said, per ESPN.
