Lakers' LeBron James: Leads LA with 30 points
James produced 30 points (11-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-7 FT), nine rebounds, 11 assists and four steals in 44 minutes during Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
James did everything in his power to extend the opening-round matchup, including playing all but four minutes of Game 5, but it wasn't enough to get the job done. The 39-year-old forward poured in 30 points in each of the last two games and consistently packed the stat sheet throughout the series, averaging 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.0 blocks over five appearances.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Battles through shoulder injury
Davis suffered a left shoulder injury during the third quarter of Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets but was able to return after visiting the locker room. He recorded 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 40 minutes in the loss.
Davis suffered the injury early in the third quarter on a play during which he took contact to his left shoulder, and though he was able to remain in the contest immediately afterward, he was barely able to use his left arm. The 31-year-old exited the game with four minutes left in the third quarter and went to the locker room, later returning for the final period. The injury seemed to impact Davis on the offensive end of the court, forcing LeBron James and Austin Reaves to shoulder heavy workloads down the stretch. Davis dominated on the glass throughout the opening-round series, averaging 15.6 boards over five games.

Lakers' LeBron James: Available for Game 5
James (ankle) has been cleared to play in Monday's Game 5 against Denver, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
James and Anthony Davis (wrist) were each listed as probable to suit up, and they've both been given the green light for Monday's clash. James is coming off a 30-point performance in Game 4 and will need to produce at a high level again in Game 5 to give his team a chance to extend the series.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Good to go for Game 5
Davis (wrist) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
Davis was added to the injury report as probable due to a left wrist sprain, and as anticipated, he'll be able to play through the injury Monday evening. LeBron James (ankle) has also been cleared to play, so the Lakers will have both top contributors available in a must-win game.

Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Available for Game 5
Vanderbilt (foot) has been cleared to play in Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Vanderbilt will have an opportunity to make his postseason debut after proving his health in pregame workouts. It's unclear as to how much he'll factor into the rotation after failing to see any action since Feb. 1, but he'll be ready to go if called upon.

Reddish will be unavailable for an eighth consecutive game. It's unclear whether he'll be able to return if the Lakers stage a dramatic comeback in their first-round series.

Vanderbilt (foot) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Nuggets, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
Vanderbilt has yet to appear in the playoffs for the Lakers, who find themselves on the brink of elimination. This is the first time Vanderbilt has not immediately been ruled out, so he seems to be trending towards a return.

James ended with 30 points (14-23 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals over 39 minutes during Saturday's 119-108 victory over the Nuggets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
The Lakers are still alive in the series against the Nuggets, and James became just the fourth player in NBA history to record a 30-point playoff game at the age of 39 or older, joining Reggie Miller, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on that exclusive list. James has surpassed the 25-point mark in each of the four games in this series, and the Lakers will need him to be at his best once again if they want to avoid elimination in Game 5 on Monday.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Massive stat line in Game 4 win
Davis provided 25 points (11-17 FG, 3-4 FT), 23 rebounds, six assists and one block in 42 minutes during Saturday's 119-108 victory over the Nuggets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Davis was efficient from the field and active on the glass en route to posting his first 20-point, 20-rebound performance since the win over the Bucks on March 28. Davis has been magnificent in the series despite the fact the Lakers are down 1-3, as he's scored at least 25 points and grabbed double-digit rebounds in each of the four contests. He needs to continue at a high level as a two-way threat if the Lakers want to have a shot at pulling the upset in Game 5 of the series.

Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Bounces back in Game 4 win
Russell ended Saturday's 119-108 win over the Nuggets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 21 points (8-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 41 minutes.
Russell faced tons of scrutiny following a woeful effort in a Game 3 loss during which he finished scoreless (0-7 FG, 0-6 3Pt), but he bounced back admirably and reached the 20-point mark for the second time in this series. Russell will need to carry his hot hand into Game 5 if the Lakers want to avoid elimination Monday.
