After being endlessly mocked for posting a photo of himself wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins' jersey on Instagram, the singer took to Twitter to defend his jersey choices.

To Bieber's credit, admitting to not knowing enough about sports is a big step, and who can blame someone for wanting to look fashionable? Besides, who says that the gap here isn't cultural? Drake has been bandwagoning NBA teams since he came onto the scene.
Bieber is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan first and a fashion fan second. At least now the world knows why they'll continue to see him in different jerseys in the future.
