A Nashville radio personallity is reportedly suing the Predators organization for injuries he suffered last December during a rehersal for a "human hockey puck" promotion, according to the Nashville City Paper.
While the Predators call it "human hockey puck," the stunt was actually the human bowling promotion that many NHL teams do during intermissions. You know the one: a random fan sits on a sled and is launched with a giant slingshot across the ice in an effort to knock over a bunch of inflatable bowling pins. It always looks to be equal parts fun and dangerous.
Adam Davis, who goes by the name Intern Adam on 107.5 The River in Nashville, is reportedly suing the Predators and Bridgestone Arena management for $25,000 to recover medical costs after the rehersal didn't go as planned and he suffered a broken ankle after crashing into the boards.
Davis had to have screws placed in his ankle after he was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center following the incident. You can watch the video of what happened to Davis here (warning: there is some foul language that can be heard in the clip).

The lawsuit claims that employees of the Predators failed to provide adequate protection for Davis — and also failed to warn Davis of the risks associated with the stunt. Attorney Bill Leader, who is representing Davis, said his client didn't sign any kind of waiver form before participating in the stunt.
The Predators had no comment on the matter as they have not yet been served with the lawsuit.
