Gary Bettman deserved this. The Boston Bruins fans continued what has become tradition and let Bettman have it as he presented the Conn Smythe to Patrick Kane and the Stanley Cup to Jonathan Toews. The boos were as strong as usual, no surprise after the short season.

To be fair to the Boston fans, they did stop booing when Bettman stopped talking and when the Chicago players took their trophies.

In early January, it wasn't clear if we'd see this moment because the NHL and the NHLPA were fighting it out in hotel conference rooms over millions of dollars. And a large part of the blame falls on the shoulders of Bettman.

But the season started and the players gave us one of the best Stanley Cup Final ever.
