Mike Angelidis: Playing days over
Angelidis will call it a career after one season playing in Austria.
Angelidis spent the 2017-18 campaign playing for Bolzano HC. In 54 appearances for the Austrian club, the 33-year-old tallied 28 points and 73 PIM. The center appeared in 14 NHL games for the Tampa Bay Lightning spread across four seasons, in which he snagged a pair of goals.

Lightning's Mike Angelidis: First goal in almost four years stands as winner
Angelidis scored his first NHL goal in almost four years in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Senators. It stood as the winner.
It came on a goalmouth scramble that led to a coach's challenge, but it was upheld. Angelidis has played in two games this season and just 12 in his career. His only other goal came in Jan. 2012. Nice night.

Angelidis has yet to draw into a game for Tampa Bay this season. The 30-year-old forward is likely being called up to provide depth in the wake of the Lightning's multitude of forward injuries. It is difficult to say when or if Angelidis will actually see the ice.

For the second time in two weeks, Angelidis has been called up to Tampa Bay then sent back down to Syracuse without seeing the ice. The Lightning are still hurting for forward depth, but it doesn't seem like they think the 30-year-old will be the answer anytime soon.

Angelidis was recalled by the Lightning on Saturday.
With Tyler Johnson (undisclosed), Cedric Paquette (undisclosed), and Jonathan Drouin (undisclosed) all nursing injuries, Tampa Bay is in desperate need of depth at forward. The 30-year-old Angelidis will provide the Lightning with additional depth up front, and could immediately slot into Tampa Bay's lineup Saturday against the Islanders as a bottom-six forward. The 30-year-old winger has tallied four points (one goal, three assists) in 15 games with AHL Syracuse this season.

Lightning's Mike Angelidis: Recalled from minors Thursday
The Lightning have recalled Angelidis from AHL Syracuse, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
Angelidis was waived by Tampa Bay ahead of the regular reason, but he ultimately cleared waivers and was assigned to Syracuse, where he's spent three full seasons, accumulating 457 PIM in that span. Now with the parent club, he could add plenty of grunt to a Lightning lineup that has been beaten up in a figurative sense, having posted a 3-6-1 record over their past 10 games.
