Sedin posted five shots on goal in the last NHL game of his career. The Canucks lost to Edmonton in a shootout, 3-2.
The veteran forward didn't register a point, but he did score in the shootout, which is the last thing he did in his NHL career. Sedin recorded 23 goals and 55 points in 81 games this season. He killed fantasy owners with a career-worst minus-21 rating, but those scoring numbers were very respectable for the 37-year-old. He finishes his career with 393 goals and 1,041 points in 1,305 games.

Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Scores OT winner days after announcing retirement
Sedin scored a pair of goals, including the overtime winner, Thursday against Arizona.
Daniel scored the winner on the power play off a pass from twin brother Henrik, who had an assist on each of Daniel's goals. The two-goal performance comes just three days after the Sedin twins announced they would be retiring from the NHL. Daniel has been a fantasy monster throughout his career and is certainly worth getting in your lineup for his final ever NHL game Saturday against Edmonton.

Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Retiring after season
Sedin -- along with his brother Henrik -- announced his retirement following the conclusion of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Sedin twins spent their entire NHL careers playing for Vancouver after being drafted second and third overall in the 1999 NHL Draft. Unfortunately for Daniel, he is currently bogged down in a 14-game goal drought and will no doubt want to get at least one more in the Canucks' final three games. With 391 tallies, the winger will end his career as the all-time leading scorer for Vancouver and second in total points (1,038) -- just 30 behind his brother.

Sedin scored another goal and added an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Predators on Friday.
Sound familiar? The exact same thing happened Wednesday with a goal and an assist for Sedin in an overtime defeat for the Canucks. The 37-year-old isn't what he used to be, but Sedin has already scored five more goals than last season, and he surpassed his point total from 2016-17 on Friday night too, as he now stands at 46 points on the season. Sedin is still a solid contributor in every category except plus/minus.

Daniel's recalled his past nicely in the final week of February, scoring seven points in his past four contests. Following the minor back injury he suffered in mid January, Sedin has recorded three goals and an assist in 11 games, and has been skating with Henrik Sedin and Thomas Vanek on the first line recently. Sedin's also been receiving heavy power-play minutes, averaging 2:52 of ice time during the last 10 games while recording two points on the man advantage during the span. He currently sits at 14 power-play points on the season -- tied for second most on the Canucks. The 37-year-old's days of surpassing 60 points are certainly fading, but with 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 32 games, he's inching closer to hitting the 40-point mark for the 14th straight season.

Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Wants to play one more season
Both Sedin twins would like to play one more season, reports Sportsnet.ca. They are unrestricted free agents this summer.
It was widely assumed this would be Daniel and Henrik's last season. "While there hasn't been discussions yet with the Canucks about an extension, the belief is they both want to be back for an 18th NHL season," said Sportsnet.ca's Chris Johnston on CBC's Saturday Headlines. Daniel is fourth on the Orcas with 27 points, including 10 goals, heading into action Saturday.

The Swedish forward is a safe fantasy play in most formats right now.
