Colin Wilson: Hangs up skates
Wilson (hip) will call it a career and retire from professional hockey, Adam Vingan of The Athletic reports.
Wilson appeared in a mere nine NHL contests for the Avalanche last year in which he registered four helpers, 12 shots and eight hits while logging 12:38 of ice time per game. Over the course of his 11-year career, the 31-year-old natural center tallied 113 goals and 173 assists in 632 outings for Nashville and Colorado. Wilson added another 33 points in 65 postseason contests.

Colin Wilson: Opens up about mental health struggles
Wilson (hip) opened up about his life-long struggle with obsessive compulsive disorder in his The Players' Tribune article, which was published Thursday.
Wilson described how his battle with OCD has affected his NHL career, and how it ultimately led to him self-medicating with prescription drugs and alcohol in order to cope. The 31-year-old winger also relayed that he hasn't been able to walk normally since undergoing double hip surgery in December, and that his days of playing hockey have likely come to an end as a result. If Wilson does in fact retire, he'll finish his career having racked up 113 goals and 173 points in 632 career NHL contests.

Avalanche's Colin Wilson: Left off postseason roster
Wilson (lower body) wasn't included on Colorado's 31-man postseason roster and won't be available for the playoffs.
There haven't been any updates on Wilson's condition since he was able to ditch the crutches he was using in mid-February, but the fact that he wasn't included on the Avalanche's postseason roster all but confirms he still hasn't fully recovered from the surgery he underwent in early December.
