  • Stefan Elliott: Returning to KHL

Elliott inked a one-year contract with Dinamo Minsk (KHL) on Tuesday.

Elliott was part of a minor-league deal that saw him move from Pittsburgh to Ottawa in December of 2018. The 27-year-old appeared in three games for the Sens, in which he recorded one assist, three shots and two hits while averaging 8:59 of ice time. With no clear path to the NHL, the blueliner will return to the KHL, where he previous played for Ak Bars in 2016-17.

  • Senators' Stefan Elliott: Sent down to minors

Elliott was demoted to AHL Belleville on Monday.

Elliott's services were deemed no longer needed by the club, as both Thomas Chabot (upper body) and Ben Harpur (upper body) returned to practice Monday, per Steve Lloyd of TSN 1200 Ottawa. Even when on the 23-man roster this season, the 27-year-old Elliott appeared in just three games for the Sens, in which he tallied one assist, three shots and two hits while averaging a meager 8:59 of ice time. Barring additional injuries on the blue line, the Vancouver native figures to spend the rest of the year in the minors.

  • Senators' Stefan Elliott: Promoted from minors

Elliott was recalled from AHL Belleville on Friday.

With several injuries on the blue line, Elliott will provide some additional defensive depth. The Vancouver native logged a mere 8:59 of ice time per game in his prior three contests and likely will see minimal usage if he does suit up during this promotion.

  • Senators' Stefan Elliott: Redirected to Belleville

Elliott was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Thursday.

Elliott made a marginal impact in Wednesday's loss to the Canucks, adding a lone hit and an empty shot over 8:59 of ice time. He'll presumably see much more playing time in the minors.

  • Senators' Stefan Elliott: Promoted to top level

Ottawa recalled Elliott from AHL Belleville on Saturday.

The Senators only had six healthy defensemen on their roster prior to Elliott's promotion, so Elliott and fellow promotee Christian Wolanin will round out their depth up front for the time being. The 27-year-old will likely be returned to the minors as soon as Thomas Chabot (upper body) is ready to return.

  • Senators' Stefan Elliott: Shifts back to minors

The Senators reassigned Elliott to AHL Belleville on Sunday.

Elliott slotted into the lineup twice and went plus-1 while dishing out a helper. He averaged just 9:06 per game but earned an opportunity on the power play for one of the contests. The 27-year-old will return to the AHL to continue his development, and he'll likely stay there until after Christmas since the rosters freeze on Dec. 19.

  • Senators' Stefan Elliott: Coming up to big club

Elliott was recalled from AHL Belleville on Monday.

The 27-year-old has not played an NHL game since 2016-17. The promotion is a great opportunity for Elliott, but the journeyman blueliner offers very little value in fantasy.

  • Senators' Stefan Elliott: Traded to Senators

The Penguins traded Elliott and Tobias Lindberg to Ottawa in exchange for Ben Sexton and Macoy Erkamps on Wednesday.

All of the players involved in this trade are nothing more than organizational depth options at this stage in their careers. Elliott will report to AHL Belleville, where he'll more than likely remain for the rest of the season.

  • Penguins' Stefan Elliott: Signs two-way deal with Pittsburgh

Elliott penned a one-year, two-way deal with the Penguins on Sunday, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.

Elliot hasn't appeared in an NHL game since the 2015-16 season, when he posted two goals and six points in 21 games with Arizona and Nashville. The 27-year-old blueliner will most likely start the 2018-19 season with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and shouldn't see much time with the NHL squad.

  • Stefan Elliott: Signs with AK Bars

Elliott penned a deal Thursday with AK Bars of the KHL.

Elliott played just two games in the NHL for the Predators last season, spending the rest of the time in the minors with the Milwaukee Admirals. In 35 AHL contests, the blueliner tallied eight goals, five of which game on the power play. Despite his abilities on the man advantage, the 25-year-old was unable to secure a long-term deal with Nashville and will head overseas to continue his professional career.

  • Predators' Stefan Elliott: Demoted to minors

Elliott was reassigned to AHL Milwaukee on Tuesday, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.

Elliott's demotion indicates that Ryan Ellis (upper body) is likely ready to return to game action. The 25-year-old blueliner registered two shots on goal over two games during his brief stay with the big club.

  • Predators' Stefan Elliott: Recalled Wednesday

Elliott was recalled on an emergency basis from the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL on Wednesday.

Wednesday's recall is Elliott's first since Nashville acquired him on Jan. 15, and it comes after Ryan Ellis suffered an upper-body injury during Tuesday's game. Elliott has played 82 games in his NHL career, scoring 24 points.

  • Predators' Stefan Elliott: Acquired Friday

Elliot was acquired in a trade for Victor Bartley on Friday, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.

Friday was an eventful one for Elliott, who first cleared waivers and was assigned to AHL Springfield. Then came the news that Elliott had been traded to Nashville, where there is a good chance he can revive his career. The Predators have a reputation for getting the best out of their defensemen, and Elliott will be trying to recapture the form that saw him score 13 points in 39 games as a 20-year old rookie in 2011-12.

  • Coyotes' Stefan Elliott: Placed on waivers

Elliott has been waived by the Coyotes, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.

Elliott drew the short straw Wednesday with the Coyotes claiming Kevin Connauton off waivers from the Blue Jackets. Despite a current second-place standing in the Pacific Division, the Coyotes have a minus-8 goal differential and it's clear that they need more help defensively. Elliott's game is more concentrated on offense, so he didn't fit in as well as Connauton can with his stocky, 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame in front of the net.

Elliott picked up two points in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Elliott now has two goals and two assists in 10 games on the season, but has come on strong lately. All four of his points have come in the last five games, including three in his last two.

Elliott (upper body) will return to the lineup Monday against the Ducks, Craig Morgan of the Arizona Republic reports.

Elliott has only played in three games this season, a combination of healthy scratches and minor injuries, but he'll draw back in as a result of an upper-body injury to Nicklas Grossmann. He'll likely skate on the team's third defensive pairing.
