Patrick Mullen: Taking services to Sweden
Mullen signed with Linkoping of the Swedish Hockey League on Monday.
The Predators traded Mullen to the Senators this past January, only for the defenseman to get scooped off waivers by AHL Rochester, a minor-league affiliate of the Sabres. At 31 years old, he's still never stepped foot on NHL ice.

Mullen was claimed off waivers by AHL Rochester on Wednesday.
Mullen joins the sixth franchise of his career, but he's never gotten the call to play at the NHL level. He's an AHL journeyman who isn't worth fantasy consideration in basically any format.

Predators' Patrick Mullen: Dealt to Nashville
Mullen has been traded to the Predators with Conor Allen heading to Ottawa.
The two teams simply swapped blueliners with this deal. Both players had been playing for their respective minor-league affiliates, but unlike Allen, it's Mullen who has yet to make his NHL debut at the age of 29. The Boston native last played for AHL Binghamton and recorded 16 points with 18 PIM in 36 games. It's tough to picture Mullen having a significant role with the club, though the Preds must've had some good reports on him to go through the trouble of acquiring him in exchange for a more experienced defenseman.
