  • Golden Knights' Tye McGinn: Pens minor-league deal with Vegas

McGinn signed a minor-league deal with AHL Chicago on Friday, TSN reports.

McGinn, 28, is the brother of Jamie (Florida) and Brock McGinn (Carolina). The former was drafted by the Flyers in the fourth round (119th overall) of the 2010 draft, and he's since produced 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) over 89 games between the Flyers, Sharks, Coyotes and Lightning. Still, he won't have any fantasy value unless he can parlay his minor-league deal into another NHL contract.

  • Coyotes' Tye McGinn: Dealt to Coyotes

McGinn and Michael Leighton were traded from Tampa Bay to Arizona on Tuesday in exchange for Louis Domingue, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.

McGinn has been a minor-league staple for most of his career and has racked up 17 points in 89 career NHL games. The 27-year-old will probably provide some nice depth for AHL Tucson and could get the odd call-up in a weaker Arizona offense, but he's not likely to turn into a fantasy superstar upon this change of scenery.

  • Lightning's Tye McGinn: Inks one-year deal with Tampa Bay

McGinn signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Lightning on Thursday.

McGinn didn't appear in a single game with the Lightning last season, and instead spent the entirety of the 2016-17 campaign in the minors, notching 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) in 21 games with AHL Syracuse. This is nothing more than an organizational depth signing for Tampa Bay.

  • Lightning's Tye McGinn: Waived by Lightning

McGinn was waived by the Lightning on Sunday.

McGinn wasn't able to crack Tampa Bay's final roster to start the year. In the 2015-16 season, he spent much of his time with AHL Syracuse, and produced 20 goals, 24 assists, and 53 PIM in 72 contests. If he gets picked up or assigned to an AHL team and moves up into the NHL, he'll be used as a depth player, and likely won't produce much fantasy value.

  • Lightning's Tye McGinn: Inks one-year, two-way deal

McGinn signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Lightning on Tuesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

McGinn spent the bulk of the 2015-16 season with AHL Syracuse, supplying 20 goals, 24 assists and 53 PIM in 72 contests. Just 25 years old, he's already had stints with the Flyers, Sharks, and Coyotes, on top of a recent cup of coffee with the Bolts. McGinn is a depth winger at this juncture, so you can avoid him in fantasy leagues until he's off that two-way contract which is bound to see him shuffle between the organization's ranks.
