David Ullstrom: Signs with KHL club
Ullstrom has agreed to terms on a contract with Dinamo Riga of the KHL.
Ullstrom spent the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign in the AHL, notching 10 goals and 23 points in 29 contests with Tucson. The 30-year-old forward hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since 2012-13, and will almost certainly spend the rest of his professional playing career overseas.

David Ullstrom: Placed on waivers Thursday
Ullstrom was designated for waivers by the Coyotes on Thursday, TSN reports.
Considering Ullstrom was already in the minors and didn't need to clear waivers, it would appear the winger has been waived for the purpose of terminating his contract, though the team has not provided any details regarding his status. It's possible the Swede decided not to report to AHL Tucson and instead will return to Europe, where he played the last five years.

Coyotes' David Ullstrom: Reassigned to minors
Ullstrom was shipped down to AHL Tucson on Friday.
Despite concerns that Ullstrom was on waivers for termination of his contract, the move was in fact a procedural step in order to assign the winger to the minors. The Swede will likely need some time to adjust to the North American style of play before getting a shot with the Yotes.

Coyotes' David Ullstrom: Drops to minors
Ullstrom (upper body) was sent to AHL Tuscon on Tuesday, TSN reports.
Ullstrom is making his return to North America after spending the past five seasons between the KHL and Swedish Hockey League. The 29-year-old scored six goals and added 24 helpers in 47 games for HV71 Jonkoping of the SHL last year, but he couldn't make the cut with a rebuilding Coyotes team in camp.

Coyotes' David Ullstrom: Returning to NHL
Ullstrom inked a one-year, two-way contract with Arizona on Tuesday.
Ullstrom will be making his return to North America, having spent the previous five years playing in the KHL and the Swedish league. During the 2017-18 campaign, the 2008 fourth-round pick notched six goals, 24 helpers and a plus-11 rating in 47 outings with HV71 Jonkoping. The 29-year-old should have a decent chance of making the 23-man roster coming out of training camp, but his two-way deal will allow the club to move him down to AHL Tucson if necessary.
