Henrik Samuelsson: Cut from camp
The Blackhawks released Samuelsson (groin) from his professional tryout agreement Friday.
Samuelsson has been dealing with a groin injury, but that's evidently no longer an issue. The 24-year-old pivot will report to AHL Rockford, where he'll spend the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign.

Henrik Samuelsson: Secures invite to camp
Samuelsson will join the Blackhawks for training camp, TSN reports.
Samuelsson is already under contract with the Hawks' AHL affiliate, so more likely than not the center is just an extra body to fill out the training camp roster. Still, the Pittsburgh native will be hoping to make enough of an impression to secure a two-way deal from Chicago.

Henrik Samuelsson: Fails to receive qualifying offer from Oilers
Samuelsson wasn't extended a qualifying offer by the Oilers and will become an unrestricted free agent, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports.
Samuelsson was traded from the Coyotes to the Oilers in exchange for Mitchell Moroz back in February, but the Oilers have now decided to let the 23-year-old go. He's played just three career games in the NHL with Arizona back in 2014, but has since been relegated to the AHL. He'll likely remain off the fantasy radar even if he finds a suitor elsewhere.

Oilers' Henrik Samuelsson: Traded to Oilers
Samuelsson was traded from the Coyotes to the Oilers on Wednesday in exchange for forward Mitchell Moroz.
Samuelsson has seen just three NHL games since being drafted by the Coyotes 27th overall in the 2012 draft. He put up an impressive 95 points in his final season of junior hockey, but has mostly struggled at the professional level, recording just 55 points in 131 career AHL games.

Samuelsson signed a one-year (two-way), contract that will pay him $600,000 at the NHL level with the Coyotes on Tuesday, Tim Wharnsby of CBC Sports reports.The 21-year-old center will likely spend the majority of the 2015-16 season with AHL Portland, and will provide the Coyotes with organizational depth at forward in case of injury or poor performance.
