LaBarbera was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday.
LaBarbera was an emergency recall after Philadelphia starter Steve Mason suffered a lower-body injury. Given his struggles in the AHL this season -- a 5-9-0 record with a 2.80 GAA -- it comes as no surprise that the 36-year-old has not hit the ice for the Flyers this year. The goaltender's reassignment bodes well for Mason returning to action after the All-Star break.
