Hurricanes' Danny Kristo: Shipped to Carolina
Kristo was traded along with a second-round pick from the Penguins to the Hurricanes in exchange for Ron Hainsey on Thursday.
At one point, Kristo was seen as a talented forward with 20-goal potential in the NHL, but his star his dimmed since then. A second-round pick in the 2008 NHL Draft, Kristo was a big part of Team USA's gold medal-winning team at the 2010 World Junior Championship, and he scored more than a point per game over a 161-game career at the University of North Dakota. Since then, Kristo has played at the AHL level for four different franchises, tallying 153 points in 257 games. Don't expect Kristo to offer much from a fantasy standpoint if he ever receives a call to the big team.

Penguins' Danny Kristo: Traded to Pittsburgh
Kristo was traded from the Blues to the Penguins on Saturday in exchange for defenseman Reid McNeill.
The trade isn't likely to affect Kristo's status as a minor leaguer and he will likely report to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He's notched only two assists in eight games with AHL Chicago this season, so he's unlikely to make an impact with the big club this season.

Kristo re-signed with the Blues on Monday, to a one-year, two-way contract.
Kristo had 25 goals and 23 assists in 71 appearances in 2015-16 with the Chicago Wolves.

The Blues signed Kristo to a one-year, two-way contract on Thursday.Kristo, who notched 22 goals and 46 points in 72 games with AHL Hartford this past season, bolsters the Blues' depth at right wing.
