  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Likely to be retained

Langhamer received a qualifying offer from the Coyotes on Monday, NHL.com reports.

In other words, the Coyotes get to keep exclusive negotiating rights with the pending restricted free agent through the signing period. Still, Langhamer -- who has only appeared in two NHL games since being selected in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft -- is definitely not a threat to cut into Antti Raanta's job as the No. 1 backstop in Arizona.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Assigned to Czech league

Langhamer was loaned to Kometa Brno of the Czech Extraliga on Saturday.

This will be a homecoming of sorts for Langhamer -- who made a relief appearance against the Golden Knights on Nov. 25, but is not needed with No. 1 goalie Antti Raanta (upper body) activated for a road start against the Blue Jackets. However, given how much trouble Raanta's had trying to fend off the injury bug this season, this may not be the last we hear about Langhamer in 2017-18.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Returned to AHL

Langhamer was assigned to AHL Tucson on Tuesday.

Langhamer's departure from the big club would seem to indicate that Antti Raanta (upper body) is nearly ready to return to action. Langhamer did not receive a start while up with the Coyotes this time, but did save all 10 shots he faced against Vegas in relief of Scott Wedgewood on Nov. 25 for his first and only action of the season thus far.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Makes relief appearance Saturday

Langhamer stopped all 10 shots in relief of Scott Wedgewood in Saturday's loss to the Golden Knights.

It was the first appearance of the season for Langhamer, who has moved into the backup position with Antti Raanta (upper body) sidelined. With the injury not believed to be serious, Langhamer likely wont see much more action before he's sent back down to AHL Tuscon. Langhamer posted a .902 save percentage with the Roadrunners last season and doesn't hold much fantasy value right now. Even if he does see more crease time during this emergency recall, we haven't seen enough from the youngster to even recommend him as a spot start.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Recalled from AHL

Langhamer was recalled from the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners on Thursday.

Langhamer being brought back up to the NHL is being described as an emergency recall, as it appears as though the upper body injury to starting goalie Antti Raanta could be one that causes him to miss some time. Should Raanta be unable to play in Friday's game against the Kings, Langhamer would be in line to serve as the backup behind Scott Wedgewood.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Demoted to AHL

Langhamer was sent down to AHL Tucson on Sunday.

After being recalled to back up Louis Domingue in the wake of Antti Raanta's lower-body injury, Langhamer will return to the minors. The 23-year-old posted a .902 save percentage in the AHL last season, and if goaltending injuries arise again in the desert, don't be surprised if Langhamer gets another call.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Promoted to big club

The Coyotes recalled Langhamer from AHL Tucson on Friday.

Starter Antti Raanta suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings, so Langhamer will presumably slot in as Louis Domingue's backup for Saturday's game against the Bruins. The 2012 seventh-round pick was shaky in the minors last season, compiling an 8-11-0 record while registering a 3.36 GAA and .902 save percentage over 25 appearances.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Signs two-way contract with Coyotes

Langhamer signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Coyotes on Monday, Craig Morgan of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Langhamer saw action in just one game with the Coyotes during the 2016-17 campaign, as he spent the majority of his time in both the ECHL and AHL. He'll get a two-way deal for the upcoming season, which likely means another developmental year with plenty of time spent in the minors, thus keeping him off the fantasy radar.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Headed back to minors

Langhamer was reassigned to AHL Tucson on Wednesday.

With Louis Domingue ready to return as the regular backup, Langhamer will head back to the minors to see some more ice time. The only action that the 22-year-old saw with the big club came in Monday's game against the Ducks when Mike Smith was pulled from the game by a concussion spotter. Langhamer stopped seven out of eight shots to secure the win for the Coyotes.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Last minute recall Thursday

Langhamer was recalled from AHL Tucson on an emergency basis Thursday, Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports 98.7 reports.

Langhamer will back up starter Mike Smith on Thursday night, as regular backup Louis Domingue will not be able go due to an undisclosed issue. This is Langhamer's first recall of the season and he's not expected to remain with the big club once Domingue returns to health.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Rejoins AHL Springfield

Langhamer was sent to AHL Springfield on Monday.

Langhamer is still in search of his first NHL appearance as a 21-year-old who's already made 19 outings for Springfield this season, posting a .883 save percentage and 3.80 GAA at a record of 7-9-2. He joins Laurent Dauphin, Eric Selleck, and Alex Grant in the move to AHL with three regular season games remaining on the schedule.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Promoted to parent club

Langhamer was recalled by the Coyotes on Wednesday.

Louis Domingue has reportedly left the Coyotes temporarily to attend to a family matter, so Langamer will slot in as the team's backup goaltender while Domingue is unavailable. Langhamer hasn't played well in the minors this season, posting an ugly 3.80 GAA and .883 save percentage in 19 appearances with AHL Springfield, and likely won't get a start in goal during his stay with the Coyotes.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Reassigend to AHL

Langhamer has been reassigned to AHL Springfield.

With Mike Smith healthy, Langhamer's stay with the Coyotes will end up being a short one. He served as the backup netminder Saturday, but will now return to a depth role with the club's AHL affiliate. The 21-year-old hasn't been overly impressive in the minors this season, posting a 3.52 GAA and .885 save percentage over 13 contests with Springfield, but the youngster still has some time to figure things out.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Slotting in as backup tender Saturday

Langhamer was promoted to the Coyotes on Saturday, Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports reports.

Langhamer replaces Niklas Treutle on the active roster after the latter was dominated by the Ducks in his first NHL start Thursday. Langhamer, who hails from the Czech Republic, was nabbed in the seventh round of the 2012 draft and has yet to field pucks on the NHL's big stage. He's clearly not ready for anything more than a cup of coffee, as he owns a 3.52 GAA and .885 save percentage with AHL Springfield this season. Still, he'll reportedly be used as a backup to fellow youngster Louis Domingue in Saturday's home game against the Panthers.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Reassigned to ECHL

Langhamer was reassigned to ECHL Rapid City on Monday.

Langhamer was originally called up to be the emergency option with regular starter Mike Smith nursing a lower-body injury, but the Coyotes decided they'd rather have AHL goalie Louis Domingue fill that role instead. He'll now head back to the ECHL, where he had posted a 2.92 GAA and .922 save percentage in three games.

  • Coyotes' Marek Langhamer: Recalled from ECHL on Saturday

The Coyotes have recalled Langhamer from the Rapid City Rush of the ECHL.

Langhamer has posted a 2.92 GAA and .922 save percentage in three games with the Rush this season. Mike Smith, the Coyotes' No. 1 netminder, is questionable for Saturday's game against the Jets due to a lower-body injury, so the decision to call up Langhamer probably has direct ties to Smith's availability for that contest. Of course, Anders Lindback is the regular backup for the Desert Dogs, leaving Langhamer as an emergency option.
