Kirill Maksimov: Waived unconditionally
Maksimov was placed on unconditional waivers by Edmonton on Monday for the purpose of terminating his contract.
Selected in the fifth round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Maksimov has been unable to break into the Oilers' lineup, instead spending the past two seasons playing in the AHL and KHL. At just 22 years of age, the Russian winger could get another chance to break into the world's elite league, though he'll need to put together some solid numbers overseas.
