Rick Nash: Illustrious career comes to close
Nash has retired after 15 NHL seasons due to complications with a concussion he sustained last March, Darren Dreger of TSN reports, citing player agent Joe Resnick.
Resnick of Top Shelf Sports Management Inc. writes that "the risk of further brain injury is far too great if Rick returns to play." Nash made six NHL All-Star appearances and the prolific Canadian skater took home the gold medal at the World Championship in 2007, as well as the Winter Olympic Games in 2010 and 2014. He hangs up his skates having recorded 437 goals and 368 assists over 1,060 games between the Blue Jackets, Rangers and Bruins, respectively.

Rick Nash: Still dealing with concussion-like symptoms
Nash will make a decision regarding his playing future once his concussion-like symptoms subside entirely, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
The 34-year-old has yet to officially retire, despite rumors suggesting otherwise. According to Nash, he's still dealing with the same concussion-like symptoms that hampered him throughout the 2017-18 season. If and when he feels 100-percent healthy, the veteran could bring scoring, as well as leadership to any team that brings him in, but he shouldn't be relied upon as a key fantasy contributor.

Rick Nash: Undecided regarding future
Nash has yet to determine whether he will return for the 2018-19 campaign, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
Nash is reportedly going to take his time to decide his future and has effectively told teams not to wait for him to make a decision. Before being traded at the deadline, the winger tallied 18 goals and 10 helpers in 60 games with the Rangers, then added another six points with the Bruins. The 33-year-old preserved his run of 15 consecutive seasons with 30-plus points. He may not be the same player that notched 79 points during the 2008-09 campaign, but Nash can still offer quality scoring if he opts to extend his NHL career.

Bruins' Rick Nash: Open to re-signing with Boston
Nash, who is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent July 1, is open to returning to the Bruins, Matt Kalman of NHL.com reports.
The 33-year-old power forward was acquired in a Feb. 25 trade that sent Ryan Spooner, Matt Beleskey and Ryan Lindgren to the Rangers, along with Boston's first- and seventh-round picks in the 2018 NHL Draft. Given the quantity and quality of the assets it took to get him, perhaps the Bruins will be amenable to re-upping Nash in order to get a longer look at him. His results for his new team were uneven, but Nash still brings good size and a high skill level to the table. Overall, the 6-foot-4, 211-pounder logged 21 goals and 34 points in 71 regular-season games, which included 60 contests with the Rangers and 11 with the Bruins. Nash's expiring deal lasted eight seasons at an average annual value of $7,800,000. He'll be hard-pressed to come close to earning that much going forward, but it remains to be seen just how team-friendly a deal he'd take in order to stick with the Bruins.

Bruins' Rick Nash: Sharp start to second round
Nash scored two goals, including the game winner, in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Lightning in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Second Round series.
Nash is a real wild card this postseason and could be the difference maker for the Bruins. But Saturday aside, there have been too many moments in which Nash has seemed like he has completely lost the ability to score. This postseason could deliver a big boost to the pending free agent's next contract.

Bruins' Rick Nash: Notches assist in Game 7
Nash tallied an assist in Game 7 against the Maple Leafs, his second point of the series.
Nash had a relatively quiet opening-round series, notching just one goal and one assist over the seven-game set. He did, however, record 24 shots on goal over that span and will have an opportunity to improve on his output in the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Lightning.

Bruins' Rick Nash: Back in business
In his first game back since suffering a concussion March 17, Nash took three shots in 17:01 worth of ice time in Thursday's 5-1 playoff win over the Maple Leafs.
Nash, who skated on the Bruins' second line Thursday with Jake DeBrusk and David Krejci, logged 5:46 worth of power-play time in the process and also delivered three hits. The 6-foot-4, 211-pounder adds size and skill to Boston's forward mix and once he gets back into the flow of things, look for his skating to pick up some. The 33-year-old admitted that at times he felt "a step slow" in his return to action, but that's not unusual considering the length of his previous absence.

Nash missed the Bruins' final 12 regular-season games, but the veteran power forward is now poised to re-enter the team's lineup for Thursday night's playoff opener against the Maple Leafs. The 33-year-old completed the 2017-18 campaign with 21 goals and 34 points in 71 games overall, with three of his tallies and six of his points compiled in 11 games for Boston after being acquired in a trade with the Rangers. Welcoming Nash back to the lineup not only bolsters the team's second line, it also allows Danton Heinen and David Backes to anchor a very solid third trio up front for the B's heading into the postseason.

Bruins' Rick Nash: Seeking Game 1 return
Nash (concussion) won't play Sunday against Florida but is on track to return for the first game of the postseason, Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Following practice, head coach Bruce Cassidy told the media "We want him first and foremost to be ready for the playoffs. We thought we might be able to squeeze in a regular season game, but it's not going to happen. I am confident Nash will be ready for Game 1". Cassidy further elaborated that Nash will practice with the team Tuesday and Wednesday, and it now seems that if he doesn't experience a setback in his recovery, the injury shouldn't cost Nash any postseason games.

Bruins' Rick Nash: Will sit for regular season finale
Nash (concussion) won't suit up for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com reports.
Head coach Bruce Cassidy said Nash is progressing well and could be healthy enough to play in Game 1, which will likely be Wednesday or Thursday. Since arriving in Boston at the trade deadline, Nash has dressed for 11 games, and Sunday will be the 11th consecutive game he misses.

Nash confirmed Saturday, per Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com, that he suffered a concussion, but he's doing well enough that a return to the lineup Sunday isn't out of the question. Nash, who missed the last nine games due to an unspecified upper-body injury, won't play Thursday against the Panthers, but hasn't yet been ruled out for the team's two games this coming weekend. Even if Nash ends up missing Boston's final three regular-season games, his ability to hit the ice two days in a row bodes well for his chances of contributing to the Bruins' postseason run.
