Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund are through to the Champions League semifinals where they'll be joined by the winners of Wednesday's clashes between Manchester City and Real Madrid and Bayern Munich vs. Arsenal. In Barcelona, hope from a 12th-minute goal from Raphinha quickly spiraled into despair as Ronald Araujo was dismissed in the 29th minute leading to four unanswered goals from PSG in a 4-1 victory (6-4 on aggregate). Xavi Hernandez was also red carded during the match for showing his displeasure with the refereeing. Kylian Mappe netted a brace to score his 15th knockout round away goal in the Champions League where he only trails Cristiano Ronaldo's 23.

Dortmund won 4-2 at home withstanding an Atletico Madrid comeback to advance 5-4 on aggregate behind a goal and two assists from Marcel Sabitzer. This has been an un-Diego Simione-like Madrid side all season and their issues came to a head allowing four goals away from home. With a 7-5-9 record in away matches this season, they now have a plus one goal difference outside of the confines of home scoring 33 and conceding 32. Axel Witsel was unable to keep up with Dortmund's attack and Julian Brandt and Sabitzer made sure to make him pay. With a chance that they could miss out on Champions League qualification next season, Dortmund will look to put everything possible into their semifinal match with PSG.

For PSG, a victory keeps their hopes alive in trying to capture an ever-elusive Champions League title in what could be Mbappe's final season at the club. With strong performances from Vitinha, Bradley Barcola, and Ousmane Dembele, once Barcelona went down to 10 men, it was all over.

Sabitzer with another assist

He was able to find Niclas Fullkrug again taking advantage for Witsel in defense for Atletico Madrid. This only ties the clash 4-4 on aggregate but that's good enough as Dortmund are still creating the better chances.

Xavi's red did not fire his team up

Mbappe delivers!

The French superstar scores from the spot to punish Barca. It is now 3-1 to PSG on the night which, incredibly, means PSG now lead 5-4 on aggregate. Absolutely crazy scenes! A stunning turnaround from Les Parisiens through Dembele, Vitinha and Mbappe after Raphinha's opener. Araujo's red card looks more and more costly as we go on. Also, Mbappe scoring against Barca in white? That might be something that we are about to get used to. Another Barca staff member has seen red too. Incredible

PSG penalty!

Incredible. Barcelona are imploding. PSG are rampant! Dembele brought down and penalty given. Cancelo with a foolish lunge and what a moment this could be.

Xavi red card!

It is all going wrong for Barcelona mentally. Xavi sent off after kicking off on the touchline and kicking out at the UEFA hoarding. The tension is going up every minute in Catalonia.

Barca 1-2 PSG

Vitinha! What stunning strike from the Portuguese midfielder. You cannot stop watching this for a single minute. 4-4 on aggregate! Luis Enrique's men have 30 minutes to find another goal. Gundogan goes close now and Xavi is losing his temper. What a turnaround!

PSG pressing

The start of the second half has been almost exclusively Parisien. That meant a Barca opener in the first 45 but they are a man lighter now. Ruiz has just fired wide as PSG chase that equalizer. It definitely feels like there could be another one in this here, but who for?

Well, that was quick

The goal is given to Mario Hermoso but it may go down as a Mats Hummels own goal as Atletico Madrid have now leveled the tie 3-3 on aggregate only four minutes into the second half of play.

Alvaro Morata has been withdrawn at half

After missing Atletico's best chance of the game, he has exited for Angel Correa alongside three chances for Diego Simione. Cesar Azpilicueta, who was on a yellow card, is withdrawn for Rodrigo Riquelme and Pablo Barrios enters for Nahuel Molina to close out the changes as Athletico Madrid need a goal.

HT: Barca 1-1 PSG

What an opening 45 that was! The hosts lead 4-3 on aggregate but trail by a man after Araujo's red card. Like in Paris, Dembele levels for PSG. Can the French giants now go and get another goal or two to put themselves back level or better? A big second half coming up. Also, Mbappe still yet to really feature more than he did in the first leg with the fewest touches of any Parisien outfield player.

Make that Dortmund goes ahead

Ian Maatsen has been a revelation since joining from Chelsea and he now has his first Champions League goal of the season to push Dortmund ahead 3-2 on aggregate.

Barca 1-1 PSG!

Dembele! It had to be him again. The former Barca man slams home to level upon his return to Catalonia! A massive turnaround here with PSG trailing by a goal but a man up as we head towards half time. Dembouz with a goal in each leg and 3-2 down to Raphinha just in terms of individual goals. What a game and what a tie!

Dortmund brings the tie level

After a great pass from Mats Hummels, Julian Brandt outpaces the former Dortmund man Axel Witsel to score the opening goal. To say that has been coming would be an understatement as the German side has been raining down shots during the first half but now they'll need to contain Atletico's attack.

Red card!

Barcola brought down and red card for Araujo as the last man. Clumsy! PSG with a free kick on the edge of the box. Disaster for Barca? Huge decision which could change the course of the game and a big opportunity for the French giants now. Was it the right decision? PSG know all about dubious refereeing decisions in Catalonia...

Superb Ter Stegen!

A sliding Mbappe denied by a diving Ter Stegen. The Frenchman then sees a header blocked by Kounde seconds later. Breathless in Catalonia right now!

Someone needs to convert their chances

Fullkrug has added yet another big chance missed for Dortmund as Atletico is giving them too much space to work into. If the defense doesn't tighten up, Diego Simeone could look to make some changes at half.

Barca 1-0 PSG!

And just like that, the hosts lead! Raphinha taps in from Yamal's ball in for his third goal in this tie alone. Talk about against the run of play! PSG were all over Barca and then essentially the home side's first meaningful attack creates our first goal of the game. 4-2 on aggregate and Les Parisiens now need two goals just to force extra time. A tough break for Luis Enrique's men, but what about Lamal? Incredible from the teenage sensation.

How open has Dortmund Atletico been?

Both teams have more than .5 xG apiece with only 10 minutes having passed. Taking four shots between them, it's showing the significance of those early missed chances which will mean more to Dortmund as they're trailing in the tie.

Strong PSG start

Not even 10 minutes in and PSG are already asking a lot of questions of Barcelona. This has been an impressive start for the visitors, but can they make this early pressure count? Barcola, Mbappe and Dembele already involved with Zaire-Emery making his presence felt in the middle.

Big chance for Dortmund

Sabizer should've done better with the ball at his feet but Dortmund are showing that they can create chances early against Atletico. Keeping up the pressure combined with Atletico's struggles away from home could lead to an early opener.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Atletico Madrid

By Pardeep Cattry

One matchup to watch: Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck vs. Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata – Dortmund dug themselves into a hole after a shaky defensive outing in the first hal ended with them 2-0 down, though Sebastien Haller's goal means they have a shot on Tuesday. Making sure they are much more solid in the back will be a priority for Dortmund in the second leg, especially considering the firepower that Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata bring. The pair have 40-plus goals between them this season, and will be counted on to put this tie to bed for Atleti.

Most likely to score a goal: Antoine Griezmann – He has 21 goals across all competitions, including three in the team's last five games and comes into the second leg of this tie after scoring a brace over the weekend. He's been at the front of Atleti's efforts all season long, so another big showing on Tuesday is very much in play.

Man of the Match pick: Antoine Greizmann – Just about every one of Atleti's good days this season have come off the back of big showings from Griezmann, so expect the World Cup winner to take center stage in a match that could see Atleti return to the Champions League semifinals for the first time in seven years.

Match prediction: Dortmund 1, Atleti 2 – Both teams have enough talent up top to score goals, but Atleti are the favorites in this tie for a reason and considering the form a handful of their players are in, it's hard not to pick them to advance.

Barcelona vs. PSG

By Jonthan Johnson

One matchup to watch: Pau Cubarsi vs. Kylian Mbappe -- The Barca man thrived in the opening leg and contributed significantly towards a thoroughly deserved away win. However, we barely saw the PSG man as he was shackled and often shunted out wide. Expect to see more of Mbappe in Catalonia -- deployed more centrally by Luis Enrique -- so Cubarsi will have his hands full for the night with the French superstar hurting an on the prowl.

Most likely to score a goal: Robert Lewandowski -- He might not be the force that he once was but the Poland international was denied on the line by Nuno Mendes in the opening leg. Expect Lewandowski to deliver when his team needs it most and possibly seal their passage into the semifinals. Given PSG's shaky defense, regardless of who starts, he should get a few chances to make the difference up against Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Man of the Match pick: Kylian Mbappe -- It will be hard for the France international to be as ineffectual as he was in the first leg so expect a determined Mbappe to turn up and possibly put PSG ahead at some point. He has stunned Catalonia before and we should not totally rule him out for a repeat of that, but it seems less likely based on last week's game. Instead, in what might be his final PSG outing in the Champions League, expect him to score once more to give Luis Enrique's men a shout of at least sending it to extra time.

Match prediction: Barca 1-1 PSG -- This one could go beyond 90 minutes but it is difficult to imagine Les Parisiens keeping a clean sheet right now. Instead, this one could go to extra time, but the Catalan giants may well just about squeeze PSG out by the end of the encounter.
