  • Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez: Sharp in win

Rodriguez (6-2) picked up the win Monday against Toronto, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and zero walks while striking out four over 6.2 innings.

The only earned run allowed by Rodriguez was a solo home run by Vladimir Guerrero in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old set a new season-best with 6.2 innings pitched Monday, turning in his fifth quality start of the season. Rodriguez has found his groove over his past five starts -- in that span, the right-hander owns a 2.16 ERA and 31:12 K:BB in 29.1 innings. Rodriguez will look to keep rolling in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend in Tampa.

  • Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez: Punches out 10 in loss

Rodriguez (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Rodriguez got off to a rocky start Tuesday, allowing a pair of runs in each of the first two innings. The 24-year-old Rodriguez would settle in and hold Boston off the board over his final four frames while recording a career-high 10 strikeouts. However, the Orioles couldn't overcome the early deficit in the eventual 8-3 defeat. It's the first time since April 23 that Rodriguez has allowed more than two earned runs in a start -- he'd gone 2-0 with a 1.08 ERA in his previous three outings. Overall, he sports a 3.53 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and 61:21 K:BB across 51 innings this season. Rodriguez's next start is currently scheduled for early next week in Toronto.

  • Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez: Earns fifth win

Rodriguez (5-1) earned the win over the White Sox on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings while striking out seven.

Rodriguez ran into trouble right away after surrendering a leadoff single to Tommy Pham. The right-hander would fail to retire four of the first six batters in the first inning and even walked home the first run of the contest, but was able to escape without any further damage. His command issues surfaced again in the third when he issued a two-out walk and then hit Paul DeJong with a pitch, leading to Chicago's second run. Rodriguez has allowed just two runs over 11 innings since returning from the injured list, though his five walks Thursday marked a season high. He's issued at least three free passes in three straight outings.

  • Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez: Dazzles in return from injured list

Rodriguez didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Mariners, yielding just one hit and three walks over six shutout innings. He recorded seven strikeouts.

Rodriguez missed a little more than two weeks with right shoulder inflammation and made his return Saturday without going out on a rehab assignment first. He showed that he didn't need one, as he didn't give up his first and only hit on the night until there was one out in the sixth inning (and even that was just an infield single). Rodriguez was limited to just 82 pitches in his first start back, but he still managed to complete six frames because he was so efficient. The righty displayed his normal velocity and induced 13 swinging strikes on his 82 pitches. Rodriguez missed out on a win after the Orioles' bullpen struggled, but he looked as good as his fantasy managers could have hoped for.
