BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) Fard Muhammad made a career-high five 3-pointers and scored 16 points, Yosef Yacob added 14 points, and Binghamton hit on 60.8 percent of its shots as they defeated Delaware State 85-66 on Saturday.

Tied 7-7 six minutes in, Muhammad made three 3-pointers during a 21-2 run to spur Binghamton (8-5) to a 28-9 lead with 6:37 left in the half. Justin McFadden's layup began the scoring spree, and he converted a 3-point play on the Bearcats' next possession.

Muhammad's seven heaves from beyond the arc were his only field goal attempts. He added 1 of 2 free throws. Thirteen of Yacob's 14 points came before halftime as the Bearcats led 46-20 at the break and were never threatened in the second half.

DeVaughn Mallory led Delaware State (3-9) with 16 points and nine rebounds. Devin Morgan added 15 points, and Dana Raysor made 4 of 6 3s to finish with 12 points.
