AMHERST, Mass. (AP) Luwane Pipkins tied a school record with eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 27 points, Dejon Jarreau added 17 points and five assists and UMass pulled away for a 95-77 win over Kennesaw State on Saturday.

Rashaan Holloway had 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting, Donte Clark scored 11 with six assists and Tyrn Flowers added 10 points.

Kendrick Ray's 3-point play pulled Kennesaw State (3-8) within six with 9:23 to play, but Holloway had a dunk and Pipkins converted a 3-point play - both on assists by Clark - to make it 74-63 31 seconds later. A 3 by Pipkins with 6:46 left made it a 12-point game and UMass (8-3) led by double figures the rest of the way.

Ray hit four 3-pointers and scored a career-high 35 points for the Owls.

UMass hit 38 of 73 (52 percent) from the field, including 12 of 24 from 3-point range, and had 25 assists.
