CLEVELAND (AP) Rob Edwards hit four 3-pointers and finished with 25 points, Demonte Flannigan scored 12 on 6-of-9 shooting and Cleveland State cruised to a 79-62 win over Division II Lake Erie on Monday night.

Jibri Blount hit 4 of 5 from the field and scored 11 for Cleveland State, which made 15 of 16 foul shots while outscoring the Storm by 11 from the free-throw line.

Edwards scored eight points, including two 3s, during a 22-9 run that gave Cleveland State (4-7) a 26-11 lead. Flannigan made a layup to close the first half and a jumper to open the second to make it 41-28 but Sean Howard hit two 3-pointers and Brogan Scott made another as Lake Erie pulled within six with 13:41 remaining.

Edwards answered with a 3 and then made two free throws to make it 52-41 with 11 minutes left and the Vikings led by double figures the rest of the way.

Mitch Loomis led Lake Erie with 12 points.
