BOONE, N.C. (AP) Emarius Logan hit five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 21 points and Appalachian State defeated Hampton 88-67 on Wednesday night.

Ronshad Shabazz scored 15 points and Patrick Good, Tyrell Johnson and Griffin Kinney added 12 points each with Kinney grabbing a career-high 10 rebounds. It was the seventh time this season the Mountaineers (5-6), who have won three of their last four games, have had at least four double-digit scorers.

Lawrence Cooks scored 21 points, Jermaine Marrow 14 and Kalin Fisher 12 for the Pirates (2-9), who have lost three straight.

Shabazz, Kinney and Robinson each sank 3-pointers for the Mountaineers to start the game and took off to a 16-0 lead less than four minutes in. The Pirates cut the lead to nine once in the second half but a 14-3 run boosted the lead to 73-53 with five minutes to go.
