SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Hoop Hall Classic has seen plenty of talent roll through Blake Arena this weekend, but there haven’t been too many buzzer-beating finishes or eye-popping plays.

Aaron Gordon changed the latter on Monday afternoon. Although his Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) team is overmatched against Lone Peak (Utah), Gordon had the play of the day.

Catching it with one hand off a baseline inbounds pass and slamming it down, Gordon sent Lone Peak big man Spencer Curtis crashing to the ground under him. In fact, the sound of Curtis hitting the floor highlighted the viciousness of the Gordon slam.

As I write this post, Gordon just threw down a two-handed alley-oop in transition – if video of that one emerges, we’ll include that one too.

The 6-foot-9 Gordon is ranked among the top five recruits in the country. He is considering Arizona, Washington and Kentucky
