Original Story:

Longtime Nick Saban assistant Bo Davis is reportedly on his way out as a result of alleged recruiting violations.

The Tuscaloosa News is reporting that Davis, a defensive line coach for Alabama during two different stints under Saban, "is expected to resign or be fired from his job" after both the school and the NCAA have made inquiries into recruiting violation allegations.

Davis has been credited not only for developing one of the best defensive lines in the country but recruiting the players who have gone on to become top selections in the NFL Draft. He was an All-SEC player at LSU and first linked up with Saban as a strength coach for the Miami Dolphins.

Davis was the defensive line coach for Alabama from 2007-10 and rejoined the team in 2014, spending three years on Mack Brown's staff at Texas in between. According to the Tuscaloosa News, Davis' current contract runs through 2017 with a salary of $475,000 per year.
