Purdue announced on Friday that it has suspended wide receiver O.J. Ross indefinitely.

According to a release issued by the school, Ross was suspended for a violation of team rules, and there was no further comment on the suspension.

Which makes it hard to figure out how long of a suspension this will be. If it lasts into the 2013 season, it would have a large impact on the Purdue offense.

Ross finished the 2012 season as Purdue's second-leading receiver with 56 receptions and 454 yards. He also had two touchdown catches. However, Purdue's leading receiver, Antavian Edison, was a senior and will not be back next season, making Ross the team's leading returning receiver.
