The Tuscaloosa News is reporting that Alabama assistant strength and conditioning coach Corey Harris has been placed on administrative leave for for providing impermissible benefits to safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Nick Saban announced Wednesday that Clinton-Dix was suspended indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules. The Tuscaloosa News reported that "Harris made a short-term loan to Clinton-Dix in an amount less than $500 at some point this summer."

It was also reported that Alabama's compliance office discovered that Harris had a connection to a representative of a sports agent. However, the school found "no indication" that Clinton-Dix has had contact with said agent.

Clinton-Dix reportedly told Alabama that he repaid the loan to Harris, and provided bank records to show the withdrawal.

The preseason All-American has recorded 24 tackles and two passes defended through four games of action in 2013. It is unknown how much time Clinton-Dix will miss, as Alabama will likely keep him suspended until it has completed an internal investigation.
