The 2017 recruiting cycle is still only about halfway done, but we have an early nominee for verbal commitment of the year.
That goes to new Florida State commit Khalan Laborn, a 4-star running back from Bishop Sullivan Catholic in Virginia Beach. Laborn, considered the top-rated player in Virginia by 247Sports, showed up to The Opening in style.
And by "in style," I mean in a Lamborghini -- a custom Florida State Lamborghini.

Someone's going to joke about who's paying for what here -- it's low-hanging fruit, after all -- but you have to hand it to Laborn: that's one way to stand out at The Opening, which features some of the best high school talent in the country.
Before Laborn's verbal pledge, Florida State had the No. 7 class nationally for 2017. For the time being, at least, the Noles could see that ranking rise ever so slightly.
