1B Carlos Pena ready to retire with Rays

First baseman Carlos Pena is set to sign with the Rays, then retire as a member of that team, per the Tampa Bay Times.

Pena, who was released by Texas a year ago and has yet to play in the majors this season, spent about half his career with the Rays, with whom he slugged 163 of his 286 home runs.
