Angels third baseman David Freese is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake City on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Freese has been out with a broken finger since July 23. It is not yet known how many rehab games Freese will require before returning to the lineup.
