A late entry into the starting lineup on Thursday, Cardinals infielder Pete Kozma went 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Marlins.
Kozma, a part-time player for the Cardinals, had been hitless in his last 18 at-bats, dating back to May 19. This was Kozma's first multi-hit performance since 2013.
"Pete was great offensively and defensively the play he made up the middle was just fantastic," manager Mike Matheny said, per FoxSports Midwest. "A good day all around for Pete. We needed that."
