Cards demote Cooney, promote Socolovic; Pham to 60-day DL

The Cardinals announced several roster moves prior to Friday's game against the Pirates, per the team's official website. St. Louis purchased the contract of right-hander Miguel Socolovic from Triple-A Memphis and optioned left-hander Tim Cooney to Memphis. Outfielder Tommy Pham was transferred to the 60-day disabled list.
