The Diamondbacks unconditionally released veteran catcher Gerald Laird on Monday, per MLB.com, ending his brief tenure with the team.
Laird has played all of one game, with two at-bats, in 2015, his first season with Arizona. He had been on the DL with a back injury since early April.
