Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth was 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI in a losing cause against Philadelphia on Friday night.

Werth has struggled through an injury-plagued season, but finally healthy, he has gotten hot in September. Werth, still hitting a sub-par .228, has just 12 long ones on the year, but he has gone yard eight times this month while accumulating 19 RBI in 96 at bats. This is the kind of production the Nationals have been missing in this season of disappointments.
