Jermaine Curtis sent back to Triple-A

The Cardinals have sent infielder Jermaine Curtis back to Triple-A after a brief major-league call-up.

The club needed to make room for Matt Adams, who is eligible to return from the disabled list Tuesday. Curtis was sent to Triple-A Memphis Monday morning, and was in its starting lineup.
