Jonathon Niese will miss his start Tuesday for the Mets against Philadelphia as he transitions to the bullpen for the playoffs, per Mike Vorkunov of The Star-Ledger.
It was widely expected that Niese would move to the bullpen for the playoffs given how many good starters the Mets boast on their roster. Long man Logan Verrett will get the start instead, something they are probably fine with given that they just clinched their division.
