The Padres optioned RHP Cory Mazzoni to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, per the U-T San Diego. 

The Padres acquired Mazzoni in a trade with the Mets on Monday. Mazzoni was 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA this spring.
