Padres sign pitcher Bud Norris for the remainder of 2015

The Padres announced that they have signed right-hander Bud Norris to a Major League contract on Tuesday. Norris was designated for assignment by the Orioles on July 31 and was released on Saturday.

In 18 games (11 starts) with Baltimore, Norris was 2-9 with a 7.06 ERA. It is not yet known if Norris will pitch out of the bullpen or the rotation with the Padres.
