Phillies SP Jonathan Pettibone to have surgery on shoulder

The Phillies announced on Wednesday that starting pitcher Jonathan Pettibone will have to undergo surgery on his injured right shoulder later this month.

Pettibone underwent shoulder surgery in 2014 to repair a torn labrum, but recently left a rehab game because he was experiencing pain in that same shoulder.
