Mariners minor-league pitcher Victor Sanchez is reportedly showing brain activity after suffering a major head injury in a boating accident Feb. 14, according to Lavinotino.com (per SeattlePI.com).
"We received, fortunately, the good news that his brain is alive," Emilio Carrasquel, a Mariners scout, told the website. "It is a slight, very slight, sign that there is hope. I have been here since Friday and (Monday) we heard good news."
Although he is still unconscious, Sanchez is showing more positive signs he will wake from his coma.
