Rockies pitcher Eddie Butler struggled from the first inning on during Monday's 8-7 loss to the Mariners.

Butler gave up four runs in the first inning en route to seven runs on seven hits over four innings of work. He surrendered back-to-back home runs to Kyle Seager and Nelson Cruz in the second inning and another to Brad Miller in the third. He also struck out two and walked one.

Butler is now 3-8 with a 5.45 ERA. He is winless in his last four starts and has one quality start in those outings.
